When Wolfgang Amadé Mozart died in 1791, he was survived by a wife and two sons: Karl Thomas (1784–1858) and Franz Xaver (1791–1844). While both boys were given a thorough musical education, it was the latter who thrived and, like his father, was billed as a musical prodigy. In this program Tom Ford examines the life and work of this very gifted but somewhat overlooked composer.
