3MBS operates out of community-funded studios with over 200 dedicated volunteers who contribute over 240,000 hours a year, a team of specialist volunteers record over 100 local concerts for broadcast and 100’s of Melbourne’s musicians are supported by 3MBS.

Independent radio is a powerful community resource attracting increasing listeners. 3MBS relies on listener support, sponsors and donors to stay on air.

For 35 years, Melbourne’s music lovers have sustained 3MBS through annual contributions which supported its growth from grassroots beginnings to the respected broadcaster it is today.
