3MBS FM Announces Its Latest Project: Radio School
Radio School @ 3MBS is for learners of all ages – students, teachers, adults, volunteers, amateur radio buffs, aspiring disk-jockeys, future radio presenters and broadcasters … it’s time to learn something new!
From the newly refurbished 3MBS FM location in the Abbotsford Convent (St Euphrasia), close to the Melbourne CBD, qualified trainers will present short courses, work-shops and Certificates II & III in Radio (Broadcasting).
Many of the courses are Nationally Accredited Courses through the CBAA, and others are general interest courses on the Future of Radio, Introduction to Radio Presentation, Studio Recording, Editing & Mixing, Reaper and Audition (broadcasting and editing software), Volunteering at 3MBS, On-Air Studio Equipment, etc.
Certificate III in Broadcasting (Radio) may provide credit towards the award of the VCE or VCAL. This credit will be determined in relation to the levels of units undertaken for the VCE and on the nominal hours of completed units for the VCAL.
Sponsorship and fee relief for students is currently available on application and request, thanks to our generous sponsors – The Ian Potter Foundation, the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Fund – Eldon and Anne Foote Trust, and the Sidney Myer Fund. Other funding for (Government) High School students may also be available from ‘Advance’.
All queries or feedback, as well as requests for a course or work-shop, please contact:
education@3mbs.org.au or leave a message on 03 9416 1035.
