Now in its thirty-fifth year, the 3MBS Victorian Young Performer Award, or YPA, has remained an indispensable milestone for many aspiring musicians seeking to establish a music performance career. In collaboration with the Musical Society of Victoria, 3MBS produces this prestigious annual music competition where four finalists are adjudicated by a panel of some of Australia’s best musical artists, teachers, composers and conductors including Anna McMichael (strings), Michael Leighton Jones (voice), Nicole Canham (wind & brass) and Berta Brozgul (piano).
Experience these dynamic recitals as finalists compete for a state prize and for the winner going onto compete in the nationwide MBS Network Young Virtuoso Award Final in Sydney this November.
The 2024 finalists will be announced in early October.
