Collisions

The clash of traditions is the underlying theme of the next concert by the Preston Symphony Orchestra. This is a rare opportunity to hear Symphony No. 3 by American composer Florence Price, written in 1938, alongside Dvořák's 9th Symphony, 'From the New World'. The orchestra is conducted by David Le Guen, with guest concertmaster Richard Keuneman, and opens with a fanfare composed in 2021 for the inauguration of President Joe Biden.
