Roslyn Carolane, Cathedral Assistant Organist, will present five organ works inspired by hymn tunes. Sigfrid Karg-Elert’s two dynamic settings from Opus 65 — Nun danket alle Gott and Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott — will be contrasted with three more contemplative, harmonically rich pieces: Langlais’ There is a Fountain Filled with Blood, Hebble’s I Wonder as I Wander, and Sowerby’s Prelude on “Malabar.”
