Lunchtime Concert: The Voice of the Violin Through the Centuries

This solo program explores iconic violin works from the 18th century to today. Starting with J.S. Bach’s profound Chaconne from his Violin Partita No.2 in D minor, the program moves to Lera Auerbach’s reflective T’filah (Prayer), composed in 1996, and concludes with Eugene Ysaÿe’s virtuosic Sonata No.6 in E Major.

Each piece showcases the violin’s evolution, highlighting its expressive power and technical brilliance across the centuries.
