Adopt your favourite year

Do you have a favourite year from the past 50 years? Was there a year that was really important to you?

As 3MBS turns 50 we’re looking for 50 of you, our passionate listeners, to adopt a year of our broadcasting history.

For $1,000, you can adopt your favourite year and be part of the 3MBS legacy.

We’d love to hear about your favourite year and if there was a special piece of music that was associated with it, let us know and we will endeavour to broadcast it.

Adopted years:

2022: Roger—in memory of the year of countertenor, Max Riebl's death.
Chosen work: Gluck: Che faro senza Euridice from Orfeo ed Euridice

2017: Robert & Tony—when Robert and Tony moved to Italy to start their three years of travelling there, which inspired Tony's book Two Gents in Italy.
Chosen work: Respighi: Pines of Rome (Movement I)

2011: Frank—the first year he went to air on 3MBS
Chosen work: Ravel: L'Enfant et les sortilège
