Gala Concert: Music of the Seasons

After the success of its inaugural gala concert in 2025, 3MBS returns to the majestic Main Hall at Hawthorn Arts Centre with Music of the Seasons. This concert launches 3MBS’s 2026 Made in Melbourne series of live events, showcasing the best of Melbourne’s live music across classical and jazz.

Music of the Seasons, presented in collaboration with the City of Boroondara, brings together some of Victoria’s finest classical artists in a vibrant program inspired by the changing seasons.

Evocative art song, intimate solo works, rich chamber music and stirring choral pieces come together in performances by a dynamic lineup, including mezzo-soprano Chloe James, the Choir of Trinity College Melbourne under the direction of Christopher Watson, pianist Coady Green, soprano Katherine Norman and Collide Ensemble.

A tribute to the rhythms of nature and the remarkable artistry of our city, this concert features works by Franz Liszt, Hector Berlioz, Percy Grainger, Michael Leighton Jones, Robert McIntyre, Morten Lauridsen and a new arrangement of Alice Chance's haunting Salve Regina.
