Beethoven's Influence Vol.1

A deep dive into Beethoven and his influence on what has since been written for cello and piano (2027 marks the bicentenary of the composer’s death). This concert pairs with Beethoven’s Influence Vol. 2 (Saturday, 17 April), focusing on the piano. In both programs, Emil and Tipi wanted to cast a special spotlight on the Finnish composer, Ilari Kaila. Both Taonta for solo piano and Hum and Drum for cello and piano are commissioned and dedicated to Holmström and Valve.
