LUCE DUET (Charlotte Kube, Wendy Ju) presents an exciting program featuring two Australian composers. Elena Kats-Chernin's Phoenix Story (2006) is a two-movement work seldom heard in concert halls. Naomi Brown's The Poem and the Poet (2025, world premiere) was written for the duo as part of Wendy's ongoing PhD on cello duets, and is based on a poem by Miriam Wei Wei Lo, which will be read during the concert.
