Lyrebird Monthly Concert

This month Lyrebird welcomes the return of Quartz String Quartet, with the Italian Serenade by Hugo Wolf, inspired by a poem of Joseph Eichendorff that he also used as the starting point for one of his songs. Then the Mozart "Dissonance" Quartet, which is the last of the set of six dedicated to Josef Haydn. Finally the Second String Quartet by Edvard Grieg - the only complete work for string quartet written by Grieg that survives. He said "it is not intended to bring trivialities to market".
