Every time you tune in to 3MBS Melbourne 103.5FM, you join a community connected by a shared love of music. From cherished classics to new Australian works, our programs are made possible by one essential resource—the 3MBS Music Library.
Home to thousands of recordings collected over decades, the library is where presenters discover the music that inspires and unites us. It holds favourites, rare performances, treasured Australian pieces, and the many voices that shape Melbourne’s musical story.
Recently, building works at the Abbotsford Convent revealed serious termite damage beneath the library floor. While the collection is safe, the space must be rebuilt before it can be used again.
This setback gives us the chance to create a modern, multipurpose library space that will serve 3MBS for decades—protecting the collection, supporting volunteers, and strengthening the programs you love.
To achieve this, we’re launching the 3MBS Music Library Upgrade Campaign to raise $50,000.
