Barry Jones Presents!
This Saturday 14 December at 2pm, Doug Beecroft is joined by polymath and national living treasure, the Hon Dr Barry Jones AC, who will present some of his favourite music during a special Saturday Afternoon Concert. Barry Jones was a former Labor member of the Victorian and Commonwealth Parliaments and Australia’s longest-serving Minister for Science. His book The Shock of Recognition (2016) describes the transformational power of great literature and music. Barry is often seen at the great music events around Melbourne, and it’s always illuminating and inspiring to hear his passion for live and recorded music.
Barry has presented several times on this program, and his intellectual and emotional response to great music always leaves us wanting more!
