Episode 3 of The Talent will see performances from baritone Bailey Montgomerie and pianist Amy Ge. Bailey and Amy will present programmes featuring the works of George Palmer, Moszkowski, and Glinka before receiving advice from our mentors. Continue reading to learn more about Bailey and Amy.
Bailey Montgomerie
Bailey Montgomerie is an emerging baritone, artistic director, and a fierce advocate for the development of local Australian creative arts and artists.
As Co-Artistic Director of Divisi, Bailey prioritises the commissioning and performance of innovative new works from emerging and under-represented composers, especially from the LGBTQ+ community.
On the operatic stage, they have solo credits with most of Melbourne’s premier opera companies including Victorian Opera, the Australian Contemporary Opera Company, and in Lyric Opera’s production of Biographica, for which Bailey was nominated for a 2024 Green Room Award.
Bailey is equally passionate about chamber and choral performance. They have appeared with ensembles across the east coast, including with the Song Company as an emerging artist, the Consort of Melbourne, and of course with Divisi.

Amy Ge
Amy is 14 years old, currently a year 8 student at Methodist Ladies College. She has been studying the piano since the age of 6. Amy also performs at Musical Society of Victoria concerts from time to time. Amy has completed her AmusA, and has participated in competitions such as the Boroondara Eisteddford, having won 1st prize in last year’s piano solo under 14s and honourable mention under 16s.
