Lyndon Galea in conversation with Doug Beecroft
It’s surprising in a country like ours, that children often arrive at school without the food they need to fuel their growing bodies and brains. At the age of 25, Lyndon Galea founded Eat Up, Australia’s only organisation providing free lunches to school students on a national scale. For 12 years he’s been involved in all aspects of its operation.
Missing out on lunch has a big impact on children, with hunger causing fatigue and poor concentration. With their partners and volunteers, Eat Up makes and delivers over 30,000 lunches to schools every week for vulnerable children.
In this Reflections, Doug talks with Lyndon about his life and inspirational work.
