Maxine McKew AM in conversation with Kiera Stevens
Maxine McKew spent over three decades as a TV presenter, journalist and interviewer. In 2007 she stood for federal parliament and defeated the prime minister in his seat of Bennelong. She later wrote a memoir about the campaign, the life of a local member and her time in parliament, which coincided with turbulent changes of prime ministers.
Maxine is still actively engaged in a range of fields including education and several charities and is a Vice Chancellor's Fellow at the University of Melbourne.
