William Barton is a composer and musician, a proud Kalkadunga man and world-famous didjeridu player. He started playing the didjeridu when very young and performing professionally when still a teenager. Since then, he’s established himself and his music on the world stage and is invited to play at significant international events.
William has received APRA and ARIA awards, the Don Banks Music Award, and the Richard Gill Award for Distinguished Services to Australian Music. He always takes time to keep connected to his community and country in Queensland and in this program, he talks about his life, career and musical collaborations, which have provided direction for his creative practice.
