For our sixth episode we’re delighted to welcome cellist Anny Wang and pianist Kayleen Prayogo. They will perform programmes featuring the music of Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Chaminade, and Hiromi before receiving on-air feedback from mentors Kevin Tamanini and Molly Kadarauch. Anny Wang
Anny is 14 years old. She studies the Cello as a Year 10 student studying at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) having been moved a grade up because of academic achievements. She started learning Cello from the age of 9, she begun Piano when she was 5 and her Violin studies in 2024. She attained her Trinity piano Associate and cello Licentiate with distinction in 2022 at 11 years old. She is under the tutelage of Josephine Vains.
Anny has won several international and national 1st places for cello, for instance in the Italy Concorso Internationale Valsesia Musical International Competition, the Charleston USA International Competition, the International Trinity Music Competition (USA), Honk Kong International Competition for Strings and many more. She has been awarded prizes at the International Gustav Mahler Competition, won MSV under 15's strings, and has also won awards for piano for instance first place at the Asia International Piano Grand Prix (MACAU).
Anny holds full scholarship with the Pettman National Junior Academy of Music (PNJA) and is a Young Artist in Residence with the International Akaroa Music Festival (IAMF) winning silver for "most promising young artist". Anny was also a participant of the String Insiders OSSI program, and has given solo recitals in New Zealand and participated actively in Chamber music competitions across NZ.
Apart from competitions, she enjoys playing in lunchtime concerts and retirement village recitals with her friends and fellow musicians and raising funds for notable charities.

Kayleen Prayogo
Kayleen is a 13-year-old pianist from Melbourne, Australia. She began her musical journey at the age of four, studying under her piano teacher, Fabiola Widjojo.
In October 2024, Kayleen achieved a High Distinction for her AMEB Certificate of Performance in Piano. She is currently working towards her Associate Diploma in Piano.
Kayleen has also been under the tuletage of pianists such as Janis Cook, Kristian Chong, Glenn Riddle and was even selected to learn from Andreas Boyde in Steinway Galleries Melbourne.
In addition to her piano accomplishments, Kayleen serves as the accompanist for her school choirs and is the first violinist in her school orchestra. She particularly enjoys performing, as it allows her to connect
with audiences through music. Kayleen has a passion for introducing listeners to lesser-known works and diverse musical styles, making each performance a unique and enriching experience.
