Join us for a live-to-air performance by Italian pianist Giuseppe Modugno, performing a program of piano masterpieces by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Chopin.

Giuseppe Fausto Modugno graduated in piano from the Conservatoire of Bologna at the age of 20 and later earned a degree in Literature from the University of Bologna. His broad artistic and cultural background has informed a distinguished career as both a soloist and chamber musician. A prizewinner in numerous national competitions and two international competitions, he has performed in many of the world's leading concert halls across Europe, the United States and Asia.
Since 2001, he has been a regular guest of the University of California and Showa University in Tokyo, where he presents masterclasses and concerts. From 2004 to 2007, he served as Artistic Secretary of the Orchestra Mozart under the direction of Claudio Abbado. He is currently Director of the Conservatory of Music “Vecchi-Tonelli” in Modena.
Modugno is particularly devoted to contemporary music and the Italian repertoire. He regularly collaborates with leading musicians, with a special focus on piano duet performance, and is actively involved in a series of international conferences. His extensive discography includes recordings for Nuova Era, Hermitage, Tactus and Concerto, featuring works by Johannes Brahms, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn and Joseph Haydn.
