David Kim in conversation with Doug Beecroft
For 27 years David Kim has been Concertmaster of the famous Philadelphia Orchestra in the USA and also a soloist. He began playing the violin at age three, later studying with the famed pedagogue Dorothy DeLay and was a prize-winner at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1986.
He frequently serves as an adjudicator at international violin competitions and was in Melbourne in June 2023 as a guest mentor with Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM). (First broadcast 23 July 2023)
