Reflections with Patricia Piccinini

Patricia Piccinini in conversation with Susie May

Patricia Piccinini, one of Australia’s leading contemporary artists, creates a world somewhere between the one we know and one almost upon us. Patricia has exhibited all over the world, including the 2003 Venice Biennale. In 2013, she created the Skywhale for the Centenary of Canberra. Her 2021 exhibition, A Miracle Constantly Repeated, took place in the abandoned ballroom above Flinders Street Station in Melbourne. Her current exhibition, Kinship at Suwon Museum of Art in Korea, runs until 1 November 2026.

Listen to Susie May’s fascinating conversation with Patricia as they explore how her thought-provoking work inspires viewers to ask questions about the emotional lives of new creatures that might emerge, our relationships with them, and with nature.
