Wendy Harmer

Wendy Harmer – journalist, columnist, broadcaster and best-selling author with readers of all ages - is one of Australia’s most versatile entertainers. As a stand-up comedian, she has performed her one-woman shows at the Melbourne, Edinburgh and Montreal Comedy Festivals. She has hosted, written, and appeared in many TV shows, including the ABC’s The Gillies Report and The Big Gig.  

Wendy grew up in regional Victoria and moved to Sydney in 1992. A pioneer for women in commercial radio, she headlined Sydney’s 2Day FM top-rating breakfast show for 11 years. She was also a ratings-winner at ABC Sydney radio until 2021. She is the mother of two adult children, and lives on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
