In our July edition of ON AIR magazine, we celebrate the reopening of 3MBS’s beloved library after its termite-driven closure in 2025. More than just a CD repository, the library houses a vast and unique collection of recordings of Melbourne’s musicians over the past fifty years. And, as 3MBS Music Librarian Anne Nixon describes in our special feature, it is the engine room and the beating heart of the station. The new library hums with activity and provides space for connection amongst our wonderful community of volunteers, and we are thrilled to have it back in action for many years to come.
