The Talent 2026 Season 1 Episode 4: Cellist Lieun Park & Pianist Sheung Zachary Li

We're delighted to welcome cellist Lieun Park & pianist Sheung Zachary Li to the show for episode 4! After performance by Mozart, Chopin, Rachmaninov and more, the performers will receive feedback from guest mentor Rosanne Hunt and regular mentor Daniel Le. Lieun Park

Cello

Lieun Park is a 17-year-old cellist from Melbourne, currently studying with David Berlin, Principal Cellist of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. A dedicated young musician since the age of seven, Lieun was awarded her LMusA with Distinction in 2023 and AMusA in 2021. She was the winner of the 2024 3MBS Victorian Young Performer Award and a finalist in the National Young Virtuoso Award, as well as other national competitions including the Strike A Chord chamber competition, Preston Youth Concerto Competition, and the Baroque competition, where she received the Encouragement Award numerous times. Furthermore, she is also a committed orchestral player and has toured Europe as principal cellist of the Melbourne String Ensemble in 2024, while continuing to be an active participant of the Australian Youth Orchestra, whom she also toured Europe with last year. Lieun continues to develop as a well-rounded musician through her dedication to solo and orchestral performance.

Shostakovich Cello Sonata in D minor, Op.40 - Movement II

Sheung Zachary Li

Piano

Zachary Li began piano studies at four and quickly demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill. He has been recognised in major competitions, including the Henle International Piano Competition and the Australian National, Shoalhaven, and Cowra Eisteddfods, and has received awards such as the Doris Rowland Excellence Award, Farleigh Instrumental Scholarship, and First Prize in the ACT Young Virtuoso Awards (2024 & 2025). He holds both AMusA and LMusA with distinction from AMEB under the guidance of Dr. Stephanie Neeman. Committed to sharing his passion for music, Zachary performs within his community, bringing live music to those with limited access. He has hosted a charity concert supporting the Canberra Hospital Foundation and helped raise $2,000 for the Australian National Eisteddfod Piano Division, continuing to use his music to give back to others.
