Introducing 2026 Season Mentor for Season 2 - Kevin Tamanini
The Talent is proud to introduce Kevin Tamanini, returning as Season Mentor for the upcoming season!
Kevin Tamanini studied at the Music Universities of Lübeck and Saarbrücken, earning an MMus in piano performance in 2009.
Fluent in 6 languages at native level and advanced in 3 more, his linguistic and literary interests draw him primarily to vocal repertoire.
As a sought-after repetiteur and accompanist, he has collaborated with Coady Green, Jean-Philippe Vivier, Rolando Villazón, and Yuja Wang, and worked for masterclasses with Jennifer Larmore, François Le Roux, and Thomas Brandis. He won the Sarrebourg International Competition for Young Pianists in 1997.
Since moving to Australia in 2022, Kevin has worked with Opera Australia, Melbourne Opera, BK Opera, and Fortyfivedownstairs. He has adjudicated major Eisteddfods, mentored ‘The Talent’ on 3MBS in 2025, and teaches piano at Trinity Grammar School, Kew.
Season 2 will begin on Tuesday the 4th of August.
