The Talent Season 1 2026 Episode 6: Cellist Aaron Su and Pianist Micah So
This sixth 'heats' episode of the season features cellist Aaron Su and pianist Micah So, who will receive feedback from season mentor Daniel Le and guest mentor Molly Kadarauch. Read on to find out more about the performers!

Aaron Su
Aaron Su was born in 2013 and is a Melbourne-based cellist studying at Melbourne Grammar School. He studies cello with David Berlin, Vivian Qu and Rohan De Korte, and piano with Dr Kenji Fujimura.
As a soloist, Aaron has performed in a range of competitions and concerts. He has been awarded First Prize at the Sydney Eisteddfod Cello Australia Warrick Dobbie Award (U17), as well as First Prize at the Music Society of Victoria (MSV) and the Ringwood Eisteddfod U12 String Competition. He has also received Second Prize in the Ringwood Concerto Competition, Boroondara U18 Strings, and Monash U18 Strings.
In 2024, he made his concerto debut as a cello soloist with the Cloud Concert Youth Orchestra.
Aaron is an active orchestral musician and values ensemble playing. He is also a member of his school’s Senior Orchestra. He has completed his LMusA in Piano (2024) and LMusA in Cello (2025) with Distinction.

Micah So
Micah So is a Year 12 student and scholarship recipient at Bacchus Marsh Grammar, currently studying piano under the tutelage of Dr Tristan Lee. Since the age of 10, Micah has garnered numerous accolades locally and nationally, consistently winning 1st prize in multiple categories at competitions such as the Geelong Eisteddfod, Bendigo Eisteddfod and the 2025 Oz School Instrumental Championships National Final. A frequent performer, Micah has given recitals at venues including the Clocktower Centre, the Capital Theatre and was invited to perform at the Ian Potter Southbank Centre. Later this year, Micah will be competing in the prestigious Australian Youth Classical Music Competition, performing alongside some of the country’s most accomplished emerging young musicians.
Micah enjoys his regular involvement with music at Bacchus Marsh Grammar, collaborating in chamber ensembles and bands, and performs actively with the BMG Orchestra. He believes in sharing music with as many as possible, and aspires to do so on the international stage.
Beyond music, Micah is serving as School Captain and represents his school at state level in soccer and frisbee and is a state-level table tennis champion.
